MAKING DISCIPLES OF JESUS
BY SPREADING THE WORD
A MISSION FOR SPREADING THE GOSPEL
Matthew 28:19-20 is the starting point of Christian International Foundation, Inc:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Why do we do Baptize? Because when Christians are baptized, they fulfill the command of Jesus. The bible teaches that water baptism is an outward expression of inward faith. Immersion baptism symbolizes our identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.
(Colossians 2:12, Romans 6:4)
Want to get baptized? Please send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will tell you when the next baptism service is and answer any question you may have.
As Jesus followers, we are not passive spectators but passionate participants in God’s activity in the world. Because of what God has done for us, we offer our lives back to Him. Teaching sound doctrine first, and then ordering our lives in ways that embody Christ’s ministry in our families, workplaces, communities, and the world.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
THROUGH THE LOVE OF GOD
The Bible is clear that God’s people are to regularly gather for corporate worship.
We believe that private and personal worship is as important as corporate worship. The Christian life was never meant to be solitary. Many biblical metaphors for a church (This is apparent by the frequent use of the Greek word Ekklesia, which simply means to gather God’s people) indicate a plurality, never singularity: we are a body, a flock, a building, and a holy nation.
“Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another.”
- Hebrews 10:24-25
“Bless our God, O peoples, and cause the sound of his praise to be heard.”
- Psalm 66:8
We place a high value to study the Bible.
Our Bible studies are systematic and expositional. They are focused on helping our friends to grow more deeply in their love of Jesus, grow in their knowledge of the Bible, and corporate worship with the ultimate goal of creating disciples of Jesus who make other disciples.
As believers we shouldn’t take the journey alone.
We believe in the power of community and relationships. That’s why we connect with others through fellowship events and small groups. Those events are created with the intention to bond in relationships, caring and love for each other.
Making a home for new believers is a core of our organization.
Our discipleship classes focuses on actively teaching how to follow Jesus footsteps. It’s simply: believers turn unto disciples through discipleship.
Why English Classes in a Spanish speaking country?
The Dominican Republic is a Spanish speaking country. It is the second largest economy in the Caribbean and Central American regions. It is not a poor country but a country with many poor people. It has a high rate of unemployment. Its economy depends mainly on tourism and an informal economy and other industries i.e. manufacturing, agriculture and telecommunications.
Having English as a second language provides countless opportunities for Dominicans. We believe that the greatest opportunity is to reach people through teaching English directly from God’s Word. God is changing their lives not only for improving their economy and/or education but also changing their lives for an eternity.
In and Out.
As the commandment is Go, we send missionaries. We also host missionaries to work in the Dominican Republic. The mission serves God by hosting mission teams from other countries in the world. The mission also sends teams out into the world. It is one of the most important ministries at CIFI.
The mission serves people of the Dominican Republic through sending mission teams in all areas. The teams are typically lead by Dominicans. It is important that our mission serve the people of the Dominican Republic but especially through mission trips.
If you feel God is calling you individually or as a team to serve in the Dominican Republic, we have work for you. Please contact the mission at email@example.com.
If your Church is called to host a team of missionaries from the Dominican Republic, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It is important to God and the church body to have leaders grounded in sound Biblical doctrine as well as strong spiritual leadership skills.
That is why CIFI provides leadership training to the leader of every ministry. This is done on a regular basis. Our leaders also attend specialized leadership programs in the United States.
We encourage our leaders to have a hunger for God’s Word. We also want our leaders to have the love that Jesus has for others. Our curriculum includes: the foundation and development of Biblical leadership, corporate worship leadership, Christian ethics, and missions. The leadership methodology is in small classes using the Bible as the main resource.
In addition, the mission uses John C. Maxwell and Bill Hybels leadership training materials.
We are serious about hanging out!
Long hours of playing UNO.
Contests of dancing with Playstation 3.
Contests of sports, baseball, football, soccer and more.
Gathering together for a meal is always much more than simply eating.
All of that has created strong bonds of friendship, laughs and love.
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
